Career Planning & Career Decision Coaching
Are you an Executive, Professional, Technical Specialist, or a career changer feeling like you have hit a glass ceiling or wanting a complete reset to explore new opportunities and struggling to formulate and activate a plan?
Career coaching and planning sessions will give you a deeper understanding of your skills, the world of work and the confidence to formulate and activate your ideal short, medium and/or long-term career plan.
The career coaching relationship is a partnership between coach and client which requires time and commitment from you. Your programme will be tailored to meet your needs, but typical areas covered can include:
- Understanding where you are now, your career pathway to date, and defining where you would like to be
- Clarifying preferences, values, skills, needs and wants. Through self-reflection and where needed selected assessments to help you identify your transferable skills, work values and interests, although “assessment for assessments sake” is not the way I work. You have the answers, it’s my job to draw them out
- Research and define career pathway options. What, where, how and why? Are there any real or perceived barriers to success and how to overcome them? Narrow down your options to decide on your ideal next and future roles
- Identify additional training, qualifications or certifications you might need to reach your preferred goal. Are there any skill or leadership gaps? Let’s work out how you can fill those gaps
- If you’re thinking of self-employment, portfolio careers or directorships, we can take a closer look at that, including a reality check based on your values, drivers and needs
- Put the plan into action. We’ll put some tangible and achievable steps in place to get where you need to be and can touch base during this phase to keep you on track and adjust the plan if needed.
Get in touch for a complimentary 20-minute discussion on your needs and I can provide you with details on a recommended package and pricing.
